Kickstart your learning with our guided paths that put you in the driver’s seat and help you master key concepts, tools, and effective workflows. Incorporate learning into your daily exploration tasks, proceed at your own pace, and track your progress as you familiarize yourself with the software.
Apply 1D filters to a channel of data in a database and 2D filters to gridded data, in order to remove noise/errors, remove regional trends and/or enhance certain geological features.
Apply various spatial convolution filters to existing voxels, in order to spatially smooth 3D measured or calculated data, emphasize areas of rapid intensity changes, or delineate rock unit/contact boundaries
Integrate geochemical data in to an environment that focusses on a single type of data (i.e. geophysical).
Create a polygon file to define an area for masking a map and windowing a grid and a database.
Working with Map Templates
Open an existing template to explore the main features and characteristics of a map template. Use a template to create simple base maps for presentations or very sophisticated maps for printing.
Creating Section(s) from Array Data
Creating georeferenced section, stacked section, and 3D maps using Array data.
Exporting and Printing Maps
Export interim processed data to another system for additional manipulation or to a GIS system for creating final map products and integrating with other sources of data. Use your installed Windows system drivers to create printer or plotter outputs.
Create colour shaded images, activate the interactive colour shading tool, and apply advanced colour imaging.
Using Trend Enforcement Gridding
Use the Trend Enforcement Gridding Tool to alleviate a traditional problem in gridding geophysical data, that is, the aliasing problem that occurs due to the presence of more samples “along the lines” than across lines.
Our Technical Analysts will assist you in learning how to effectively and efficiently use Geosoft software in one of our standard courses, virtually or in-person.
Whether you need instruction on specific topics, want to use your own data, or have questions about your exploration project, our Technical Analysts can work with you to create a customized experience that will meet your organization’s particular requirements.
